Emmanuel Adebayor isn’t asking for much to stay at English Premier League club Arsenal. The player merely wants a 400% pay increase!

The Togo striker is demanding a new £120 000-a-week deal to stay at the North London club, about £90 000 more than he’s earning at the moment. That would make the 24-year-old Arsenal’s highest earner.

But the English club seems to have other ideas and has currently engaged Barcelona and AC Milan in a bidding war for the player. Both are prepared to match his salary demands if he requests a transfer.

Adebayor’s Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito insists that a deal with Milan is likely to go through, but also added that Arsenal would not sell until they found a suitable replacement.

Names being bandied about in the press at the moment are Liverpool’s Peter Crouch and Blackburn Rovers’ Roque Santa Cruz.

New Rovers coach Paul Ince however has refused to entertain the idea of letting Cruz go.

@ nyambs, u reckon he was worth 30000 pounds per week after all the shit he has been pulling off for wegner and had arsenal fans talking about winning the championship? me thinks that nigga is jus using that ishh as leverage ask for 120k per week and end up on 80k per week thats a good deal at the end of the 50k increase is a good look. Arsenal been known not to barge on salary negotiations, unless u the special one, will see how it pans out.
