so theyre launching the base awards in africa, i was there to cover the nominee event as a journalist and general voyeur, joint was held at Tokyo Sky....check it out here www.spaceswagger.blogspot.com...so it looks like slikour might be taking the hiphop one this year according to a small rumour i heard in the toilets from the MTV head honcho....

its a photo journalism group thats open to public submission, soon it will run opinion peices, an alternative media outlet operating within the man's system. theres no better way to take them out.

Had a good conversation with sumone up there at Channel O and apparently "The Monopoly - Please video" was up there in the list for Best Hiphop Video for SA videos during the discussions, but with tough competition from Sliquor, HHP and Prokid we fell short. Congrats to HHP,Pro and Sliqour for their nominations as SA Hiphop representatives!

We were also considered for "Best Newcomer" but didnt make the final cut as The Monopoly. But it feels good that we got beaten of by Buff and IGHO (Who are also fam. ie. official members of CRACKBOYS)

We got TWO new videos ready "I wont tell" and "Pants Sagging".

IGHO is in SA right now and we shooting "Naija Boys Remix - IGHO(Nigeria),Cash,So Fresh(South Africa),BugBuff(Zimbabwe)" which is doing well in nigeria.

And we are teaming up with HEARSTREET to do "Rockstars -the video" and Big Buffs new video -Too hot is out already. and we planning on doing at least 4 more videos if all goes well, by June next yr!

So by next yr this time i think we'll have MORE NOMINATIONS and possibly take home a FEW.
