Lol @Rasputin. Now that you mention it... But nah, I reckon it's something else mate. We used to call our lady teachers 'mistress' back in my primary days (wish I knew why). Ask anyone who attended primary school in the early 90's and they'll tell you that bo-'mistress' and bo-'mineer' (sir/male teacher) were seen as heroes back then. Maybe shorty was named after an inspirational and influential 'mistress' from a local school.
