So hav u eva recorded ur live instrumentation into any of your compositions?
Its a gud thing that im talkin to heads here.
Actually cla**ically trained musicians or jazz artists look at hip hop as bein a rather non challenging genre to transcribe coz of its 'loop style' and effortless progressions in most instances.Just their opinion. though...

your thoughts?

i compose beats, i am very into musical pieces. not to say there's anything wrong with a loop but at least compose your own loop...ive been cla**ically and contemporarily trained but i dont think that hip hop is easy or inferior. theres a skill to write really good music regardless of the genre. to be relevant and tight in that genre is the challenge and although the progression might be simple, its how you work it that matters.

my thoughts anyway.
spread love in da music

Any of you plug in your instruments to record? Is it to a mixer or straight to tha audio interface? Which works better?Cubase, Pro Tools?

At the crib i've recorded keys, ba**, electric guitar, all conected directly into the sound card.

Then i've recorded acoustic guitar, violin, trumpets etc with my mics.

I record mostly directly into Acid Pro. If it needs cleaning, i will edit it in SOundforge or Goldwave.

Wasnt live ba** on Memory. Programmed.
