Cats get so carried away with all this doom and gloom at arsenal.

3 seasons ago we narrowly lost to the best barcelona side in living memory in the champions league final despite playing with 10 men for most of the game.

last season we were 2 points below chelsea (who also won nothing last year) despite having a ridiculous injury list and some horrible refereeing decisions (eg last minute penalty against birmingham).

these tiny margins are all the separates us from winning. fabregas was in the paper yesterday saying that he doesn't care about trophies as long as arsenal continue to play like we're playing now.

the thought of getting rid of wenger is insane - which other manager in world football (who is available) would you rather have next season?

wenger aint going nowhere...  he is arsenal

The only problem we seem to have is being complacent against teams we think are going to be walk-overs, that im sure after hull we will fix...

The game against hull was a freak. One wonder goal (that dude will probably never score a goal like that again in his whole career) and a badly defended corner. We hit the post twice and had a perfectly good goal disallowed. We were all over them but just couldn't manage to finish it off. If we'd won that game we'd be 1 point clear at the top of the league. As it stands, we're in fourth place in the league - 7 places above Man U and 2 points below Chelsea - it's way too early to start being hysterical!

I respect what you're saying D but it doesnt matter that we almost won the champs league or EPL. Fact is, other teams won those respective trophies. Having the 'best' manager and playing champagne football is pointless if the trophy cabinet ends up empty. As for Fabregas, we'll see if he'll keep his word should we end up without a trophy.

don't get me wrong lez, i want us to win things as much as you do. i just don't think there's any other manager who would do a better job that arsene. we are one of the best run clubs in the world, largely because of wenger's vision and the stability the board have given us by putting their faith in one man.

trophies will come!

I hear you D. Not upset that we lost to Hull, that's football. I'm more irked by the manner in which we lost (which is somewhat typical). We play all the football and stumble when it matters (that's the Arsenal story really). I agree with you though, Wenger would almost be impossible to replace. Let's hope you're right about the trophies.
