Oh yeah, I change my mind on this book. f***in' hate it.
Besides I'm more socialist in my view and this book is a crackpot capitalist nonsense.

socialist or not.. u have to admit though that her argument for unfettered markets is one of the more cogent one may come across.. the allegory used to validate her point, not only supports capitalism, but critiques human nature as well.. 4 phat lips
methinks it's also well written.. that there are many subtexts & other narratives makes it all the more interesting..
just my thoughts..
I'm gonna try and not get into an ideology debate, because like in the book there is rarely any middle ground. People quickly become extremist.
Now I personally love the harder you work the more you get rewarded capitalist ethos, but I also appreciates that no man is an Island and I believe that you don't win when you cross the finish line first but when everyone is over the line.
With that said, the arguments in the book are hardly convincing or do her beliefs any favour, instead the heroes come off as ugly, selfish and unattractive.
Even more at this time with the Wall Street snafu. The bankers were left alone and they created a
'Neverland" economy, made billions out of it, then it crumpled and normal people lost their houses, jobs and savings.
If you read up on what these cats, unregulated, were doing on Wall Street, you wouldn't even trust them with an "IOU" note.
