there is an open mic happening this Saturday at Shivava Lounge, Carr Street Newtown, starts at 1pm-6pm and there is also A Tribute to J-Dilla gig at Kospotong, also in Newtown next door to Sophiatown starts later than the open mic. both gigs are free

love that place.

House 22 in Sunnyside hosts hip hop nites of sorts on Wednesdays where the PTA cats perform, dunno if its every wednesday or not thou.
