i think battling is and has a always been a crucial part of rap, regardless of whether cats are broke or paid, elements like that will remain because if we lose them we lose the culture. therefore these elements no matter how unappealing they may seem to a new jack actually drive and sustain the culture and remain to be the spine of this culture of rap.

Cyphas in 09??? I love em but i don't expect anyone to take em seriously.Err'one be wack in cyphas these days. i cant spend more than 10 minutes in one. battle emcees are a dying breed.

Guess we gotta take the initiative and schedule these things.. Cyphers used to happen spontaneously nowadays cats are too cool to be caught huddled up kickin raps.

I dont think tha its so much that we are acting like we getting paid! For example I still do cypers and when cats suggest one I never back down, The problem with JHb is when you have cypers at malls and shit security make it an issue and you get your a** kicked put sadly!
