The head of the South African team at the World Athletics Championships on Wednesday rubbished claims that 18-year old sensation Caster Semenya would undergo gender testing ahead of her participation in the 800-metres final in Berlin on Wednesday night.

Australian media reported on Tuesday that officials from the International a**ociation of Athletics Federations (IAAF) would perform gender tests on Semenya.

The Daily Telegraph claimed that Semenya's appearance, including obvious facial hair, and muscular build igniting speculation about her gender. The IAAF is aware of the issue
and has conducted physical tests and genetic screening to try to determine the legitimacy of Semenya's sex. An overnight meeting of officials in Berlin was expected to determine whether she takes her place in 800m final."
