anybody here know how to replicate a SQL DB from a server. wanna take work home but want to have a copy of the DB from our server to my machine. help anyone?

I think Enterprise Manager gives you an option under one of it's menu's to export and import the DB.

nah im accessing from Visual Studio. I dont have enterprise manager.

I think there's a command line utility called "bcp.exe", run it and look @ it's usage, parameters,etc. But i think it comes with the SQL Server binaries, so you need to have installed some SQL Server software on your machine.

Haven't worked with databases on Windows for a while now.

Thanks man. I will recreate it. I need some sleep.
ps:  the command prompt appears and disappears within a second after running bcp.exe. will play around with that some other time.

Comand line, usefull when ur network admin has a big head, you can teach him a thing or two from there....
