According to the most recent stats, Nyanga had the highest murder rate anywhere in the country making it officially the roughest kasi.

With that said though, I will gladly drop off a friend in Nyanga at 3 in the morning. f*** no am I going to drop anyone off in Mannenberg or Mitchells Plain at any given time.
I find coloured people so much more aggressive  and you seldom hear of someone  being killed by a stray bullet in Nyanga. In the coloured areas, I swear more people get killed by stray bullets than someone actually trying to kill them.

I went to Atlantic last year for some campaign thingie i was working on. It seemed very peaceful there. Even made friends with these two gay dudes

Ive heard too many horror stires about Cape Town hoods though and although im a "see it to believe" kinda person, i think Ill trust everyones word on Mitchels Plain, Langa etc

I think if u grew up in the 80s pretty much all the "hoods" were rough, even in my native Bophuthatswana i inhaled a few teargases

anyway, those kids in Nyanga East are dangerous yo. has anyone noticed that when it comes to thugs robbing people and killing in the black hoods of cape town its usually kids? there are not so many robbers of the older age groups like i see with coloured areas and other black communities outside of CT. cant speak much about the EC though. The older thugs here (generally) seem to be into stealing cars, cash in transit, armed robbery, and other bigger shit like that. just an observation.

A guy I went to primary school with, he was from Nyanga was in a coma for months because he went to rob Khayelitsha police station 1 man with 1 gun.
