I am 27 hours into a 36 hours shift with no sleep and having to spend 20 of those hours out in the rain and cold.

f***ing hostage situation. Then SAPA and two other news agencies cannibalise my story without giving me any credit after me and the chick from SABC were the only journos there from beginning to end.

Two red bulls and a shower later I am back interviewing the hostage, and preparing a package for all Media 24's Afrikaans papers for tomorrow morning.

I am better than all your favourite journos, f*** you if you think otherwise.

BLoem is not that boring at all. I hardly sleep during weeks when I am on standby.

I know that 702 trick. SOme OFM and Daily Sun journos also pulled it this morning and just joined in when we started interviewing the police commisioner, after the shit was done.

They missed all the exciting bits though, so they will need to go off mine and the SABC's stories if they want details. I just checked the police statement and it is quite sparce on that and has a lot of self-backpatting instead.

We got paid two days ago already. I feel sorry for all these fools who have already started spending like mad. By the end of the month they will have nothing and then they ar egonna have to go through January broke as f***.

f***ing fools. I will be lending out money at 50% interest throughout January.
