Hmmnnn I hear Nas, Talib & Mos are all dropping Albums in a second..
But I truthfully think we have already heard the best of 2004.
Here´s MY list..
1. Masta Ace - "A Long Hot Summer" OMG have you heard this album it is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Mixing a bunch of genius producers with some of the most appropriate guest spots beautifully crafted to tell a story over 60mins! WOW! Instant 2004 Cla**ic Material.:-o

2. Kanye West - "The College Dropout" - Enuff has been said about this one..

3. Godessa - "Spillage" - 3 Sisters from Ikappa finally release their Album littered with social conciousness messages..what other album bettter document the "Social Ills" of these times>>?

4. Zubz - "Listeners Digest" - Well seeing as I AM the unofficial Fanclub president this HAD to be in here for reasons already discussed. :-]

5. I´ll leave open simply coz I have actually heard the forementioned new releases & I´m sure @ least one of them deserves a spot here.

havent paid attention to the whole whos realeasing shit but I would think the
JEAN DOE album would be my personal best.
OR PETE ROCK how could you forget about that? :-]

speakin´ 4 my celf: i still enjoy old skool much betta than nowadayz ish...
but right now i´m enjoyin´ this hot Bootleg Demo from my boy Rebel Nation. i Quote: "this album don deserve 2b a demo. Ragga+Hip hop s*** wit no Respect to y´all mc´s out there, this one man crew is sure gonna crack than most... (you´ve gotta luv his style) ;-)
