I can't understand why JMT is slept on in SA...

I wouldn't think they slept on (well at least not in Jozi) coz that's some of the first shits I ever got a hold of before I knew shit about the underground (back at school when all we knew was Quasimoto, Can Ox and Jedi Mind), so for me to get to hear that before I was even really a head means it must have been circulating quite extensively. This was quite a few years ago too (2000/2001).
I also seen an article in Hype on them and overhear them metioned in conversations so, all in all, I think they probably more widely recognised than you may think.

I remember a line that had a brief stint as a catchphrase: "Ya'll got f***ed up like sex on an airplane" - from Violent By Design (can't remember what track)

Someone was saying that Stoupe's production can be like 9th Wonder's - not in sound but in that there isn't a huge range so a whole album of it can get monotonous. Maybe coz of sampling the same type of stuff all the time (those spanish songs, an occasional symphonic piece etc ). I don't really agree that it get's boring but I can sort of see that he sticks to a fairly narrow style. Any thoughts? (maybe needs a new thread)

personally i dont really like JMT and AOTP(army of the pharoah ..) ..i think they are just overrated.. think reef is ok .i think not jsut my type..not ground breaking for me..

JMT ..often blatantly offensive and wack flow..liked  The Psycho-Social, Chemical, Biological & Electro-Magnetic Manipulation of Human Consciousness...but really it was not ground breaking for me.its an ok lp...anyway it depends on your taste buds..peace
