It occured to me that I remember that day on 10 April 1993. It was a Sunday (11 April 1993) when I read the news headline and saw a picture of this man lying on the street. All that I remember is just blood everywhere in that picture. My father and the family were clearly frantic. I was too young (10 years old) to understand why.
Today, I was sparked by some crazy thread earlier of a Youtube clip advertising the Aparheid Museum that I STILL don't know why - even though I know his name was Chris Hani - it was such a big deal. I decided to Google him and read up briefly to see what the story was, since I am now old enough to get it.
