This is one of the first Zim tracks Metaphysics put me on to when he came to Germany back in '98, it's a track off the "Everyone's Child" soundtrack, an independent Zimbabwean film from 1996, which was directed by Tsitsi Dangarembga. The track is called "I'd rather be a Gangster" by Laygwan Sharkie.
Found the song on youtube, and it took me back to a time 12 years ago... thought I should share it, enjoy!

On a side note,... I had heard of Zimbabwe Legit before meeting Metaphysics, what he did school me on, was a lot of stuff like Black Foot Tribe, Kataklizim, Lethal Language, Laygwan Sharkie, A Peace Of Ebony, Hondo, Tel-A-Rhyme (now Terrie Gunz), Ethnic Posse and a bunch more I can't think of right now that hadn't reached our shores... Harare had a dope scene back in the nineties,... who is going hard in H-Town at the moment?

Another little known fact I remembered inspired from this thread, it was actually Metaphysics who urged Juma4 to launch the Rumba-Kali website back in the day! The site used to be a newsletter for those who don't remember,.. Juma4 and Meta go way back... true story  ;D

I remember reading about this group on the site during the early years of the
Rumba-Kali site. They also hailed from Zim:
