I cant remember what came out this year that I felt was really good.  I thought the Slum Village album was cool. The Roots.. cant let the whole album play more than once at a time but it has some great jams.

somebody please put up a list of what came out.

I was really unimpressed with this year's hip hop offerings.

I like John Legend and the Roots' Wake Up.

this sixteen year old mofo really bucked what i thought could be done in rap circa. late 2000's. one short a** album (shit is only 25 minutes) and duke is in my top ten rappers list. that easy.

i think we also need to have a section carved out for COMPILATION albums as presented by PRODUCERS cos such albums from seasoned producers such as STATIK SELEKTAH, J RONIN and more saved the hiphop this year...
