I know there is a number of MCs with degrees but i havent heard on any "popular" mcs with an Msc tho... mind tellin us those two mcs u said hav MSCs?

Melo has an Mb.Chb and Thuli has a Phd in Pharmacology, which means at some point he had a Msc (it comes before the Phd)

he does have an msc in chemistry but i may be mistaken about the program he was in. he studied in the US. this info should be public knowledge so if u google you will get to the bottom of it. he is one of he biggest hip pop artists in AFRICa and i personally let loose in the club when i hear "10 over 10' and " kini big deal".

This is what I asked. Is it only people who get national airplay who are considered emcees? Are the local cats not emcees anymore?

I know several cats with masters degrees in various fields. Some of them are doctors too.

But, since we're defining emcee by the airplay now, I guess they don't count.

Kudos to him but if you went to a university where there was hiphop culture  then you must know more than one MC with a postgraduate degree.

lol... lets hope u wont brag about it too on yo next single  . It jus shows that most hip hop out there isnt pro-education. we got a lot of emcees out there but they are mostly college drop outs. obviously education is not equal to skill on the mic.
