charlie, u know that human behaviour can at times b soooooo completely random.

and clearly the buffoons have a purpose of their own. Like I can imagine that the thrill to f$*& ish up must be quite xciting, personally, find it quite boring. so, while the joy for some is to create, others harness their skills at taking things apart.

but then again i live in a world where the line "why b kind when you can be cruel" resonates louder.

I thought it was just my pc.I had to find a round about way of getting on the AG this morning.That is too sucky for words.I think hacKAAAAHHH protest songs r gonna be coming out soon.U know..........they be acting like Bush and them Republicans.Stop the hate my hackers mates, its time to let the world just get on with its life.Hope they listening.

I always wanted to be a hacker but turns out I am not smart enough. :-]

This "attack" is not malicious at all but its still a headache for shane no doubt.

its quite an inconvenience to say the least.

messing with my daily dosage.

i was like what? what? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!???

and then I had some coffee, substituted AG with caffeine.

calmed down, tried to think straight and then * (thats supposed to be my light bulb moment, i try...). Well then, I thought to myself, to be a hacker means you got to have genius for deviance, so to beat one means u gotta b more deviant.
Needless to say i spent the greater part of my morning tryna outwit the bastards - found another dodgy way to enter.

didnt think I had it in me, turned out to be fun.
So thank you to the sorry a** mothers!

Yeah, u gotta play "outwit-the-idiots" when it comes to them fools.I guess u gotta think to urself, "how would a fart think like at this point in time" in order to outsmart them farts.Safest way, or rather quickest way is to search for a familiar term or person thats frequently been featured on the AG.I just search for "africasgateway Nyambz" and then got Nyambo, clicked the link and it was all access like Glen Lewis.

yebo this would´ve been sorted out sooner if I wasn´t on a conference (where there was no internet access). my main man Thando sends me an sms telling me about this and I´m like (damn what can I do ? nothing right now so I had to jet back to town this morning and fix it up).

it´s not that the site is not protected, it is actually protected. what I don´t tell you is that there are at least 3 hack attempts EVERY DAY at AG. I guess you didn´t know that ! :-]

so I´ve been doing a very good job in getting rid of suckers. so how did they get in this time?

well you see it was a new variant that nobody really knew about, but we (ie. webmasters) know about it now.

I don´t see this as a pain in the a**, I take this as an opportunity to further increase the security on this site.

you might have asked yourself why AG? well look at it, this site is Ma**IVE. hackers don´t waste their time hacking small sites.

the bigger the site the bigger the rep you get.

ps before giving people names like "hackers" you need to understand that anybody can take a script or some type of injection and apply it. that´s easy. the real hacker is somebody who thinks of it first (or figures it out himself), not somebody who just duplicates the deed across the net.
