Well, it seems a theological based debate ensues.
It seems the answer to Munetsi´s question is, there really isn´t one. Maybe from your experience you have found that, but worthy is the Lamb of God, Christ is in he tri-une God-head, along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, Christ died to reconcile us unto God, the God of the Old Testament is the same God of those who follow Christ, see Jesus was sinless, shedding his blood for us as the ultimate sin offering, a sacrifice as was a ram or an ox, except He was the Son of God in flesh, and having been tried and tested in every way and not falling into temptation, was worthy, so Christ reconciles us unto God, death was the seperation between us and our Creator, Christ rose from the dead to overcome that. This is all biblical of course. We are born into sin because Adam sinned then man fell. Now God being a God of love, longs to fellowship with us, and the law of the Old Testament was too hard too keep, so Christ came as the ultimate offering, and the Father rejoices in him, Christ is the groom, the body (the church) being his bride, God, longs for the day when we rise with Christ, that is maybe why people love Jesus so much, because he is our high priest, he allows us to enter into fellowship with God.
