"The first mobile phone virus capable of riffling through a phone book and automatically sending a copy of itself to uninfected phones has been discovered by anti-virus researchers.
It packages itself in a file and sends itself via a type of the enhanced text message service known as MMS - or multimedia messaging service - commonly used to send photos, sound or video clips.
"This is the first time we have seen a spreading mechanism like this," said Matias Impivaara of F-Secure. "It is clearly more efficient."
