CDT...

I always look @ the bottom surface of cd's and see the words  "Manufactured by CDT". I'd guess that they specialize in making CDs, but how does one get in touch with them? How do they charge?

CDT is the most popular place to print your cds but not the only one, they'd print the actual disk , which includes the cover...they'd basically give you a finished product...they're quite big and work with major labels but they'll do small jobs as well

if i'm not mistaken they start at 500 copies...don't have their number at hand but you can contact RISA(recording industry of south africa) they have a website you can check out...

Also worth checking out,,, I got this from Microdot Music in Cape Town:

"Yes, we do proper CDs (NOT CDRs) at R3-85 each EX vat (disc & printing onto it) 90% deposit needed + 1 master which you must check very carefully twice. Also needed is the artwork for the disc on a CDRom. If there's a fault on it then we can't be responsible. R3-85 ea EX vat delivered in Cape Town.

1000 minimum quantity with full clour printing onto the discs, 20 days delivery, made in Germany."

And there's also Bowline on http://www.bowline.co.za, I think Kallitz used them for their album.I mailed them a couple time to get some info on the costs and all.Obviously, the fewer copies u do, the more it becomes.

Also, check some cd's they also done by Sonopress which is at http://www.sonopress.co.za.I mailed them a while back and I should just check if I can find the document they sent me regarding pricing.But the one Dplanet quoted is the best price, no doubt.
