Cee-Lo Talks 'Gnarls Barkley' Collaboration With Danger Mouse

Goodie Mob member Cee-Lo and DJ Danger Mouse have teamed up and announced they're releasing an album under the name Gnarls Barkley.

"We are the perfect combination," Cee-Lo stated. "This album is one of the best platforms for me to express all of me. I get to expand my range and hit all categories from Urban, Crossover, Pop and Rock & Roll."

Danger Mouse, who received ma**ive press for mixing Jay-Z's Black Album with The Beatles' White Album to produce the Grey Album, recently produced the Gorillaz album and was named one of GQ's Men of the Year.

His Grey Album was chosen as Album of the Year by Entertainment Weekly and has been the catalyst for his current popularity.

"Danger Mouse's production is so futuristic and my lyrics are used as a vehicle to bring it home," Cee-Lo continued.

The rapper has also rejoined veteran group Goodie Mob. The group is preparing a new reunion album featuring all the original members.

damn he joinin goodie again but the group dissed him the title of one of there albums was one monkey wont stop the show was directed at him

been on tour with them in 1998 ... they were a tight crew and really nice guys ... i think its a good thing to forget the past and look into the future ... and to see them united again!

cant wait to hear new shit! and maybe some of that good ol organised noise sound ...

I was salivating at that single crazy & thought "ok this is just another prototype album which will never surface...

but man, A WHOLE ALBUM.
let's hope it s a go out & but album.

but not a "commercial rap listening public buy & destroy my real hiphop" type album.
5fm was playing the single on saturday by the way.
