It´s got to have a degree of formality\organisation (choose the word you feel comfortable with).
Someone (a coupl´a peeps) in cpt needs to organise this entire shabang,any one know anything bout how to do this?- nothing huge just a meeting

Rugged, if there´s a large gathering of heads general hip hop discussions are inevitable, but yeah, if this thing really goes down we´ll need an agenda (so we don´t just talk and talk and forget what we´re meeting for)

i think even before organisation or nominating capetonians to organise,
we need to establish who is willing to come thru...from where...

to see if it worth organising...
also this will determine the level of ´organisation´ necesary...

some rapper dude from angola that i know is always telling me that they have a sayin ´back home´...it goes:
you shouldn´t give your friends food if your brother is starving...first feed your brother because your friend has family...etc

...hmmmm? i´m not just sharing anthropological tidbits around...the point of making this (distribution network) big would be that we would be establishing a REAL independant viable scene HERE! when that is done, then i think one could expand...to include the brovers worldwide...

a local demand for local product needs to be established!

because we´re trying to set up a distribution network there needs to be someone from every area, or someone representing all the different "scenes"

we don´t need too many heads just atleast someone for each area (or as many areas as possible)

all we need for the first meet is a roundtable...
so that can be organised if everyone is in cape town at the time...
i.e. hip-hop ndaba time!
proposed agenda:
draw out objectives
elect/organise board
(and all the other business schitt that i dnt know a damn abt but must me done for success and agreement

what we do then, is before actual meeting, we send out an invitation for heads to come through...(the issue though will be how many heads come through)...to few is not a problem ´cause a network can always be built on but too many will be chaos...i think!

Hold on ya´ll,

There is no way some of us can make it to Cape Town, so why don´t we use AfricasGateway for the kick-off meeting ? We have chat rooms here that nobody ever uses, we could use that as a means of first communication.

Setup a date and time for everyone to be on the chat and take it from there .

with people you have never met...

maybe we could meet, then have provincial meetings...
