this past week saw the death of IMBIZO ENTERTAINMENT as most of us have
come to know it. according to imbizo spokesperson "platejoggie motswako"
the late imbizo entertainment was a constant debt-incurring establishment..
by no fault of his though.
the company will undergo serious managerial restructuring and will
henceforth be known as IMBIZO3000.
this week also saw the first cd copy of SPEX sold at a cape town music
retailer.(thabiso - where inna hell is da MSAWAWA project????? and
bradley..
why don't i have the mizchif cd yet???)
other shit is that i lost the levi's ad casting to a whiteboy... cool...
but then the ad agency exec had the "kutspur" to call me and drop me some
tired ass line about the levi's people not being able to make up their mind.
HELLO!! if any person in management is indecisive - THE COMPANY GOES DOWN !
she probably thought i was a model - all looks and THICK upstairs.
to make up for all the shit i been thru this week...
i'm attending my first exclusive "by invitation only" nightclub opening
on saturday nite... and...
i got BULELWA'S digits... yessss!!!!
ANYWAY - that was my week - here's your weekend...

Yes it's me again, the one & only Oop Dadda . This week saw the
much talked about Tkzee Guz family album being released. I must
say the artwork for the cd is good, very good. It has been
requested that I hook up a picture of Zuraida Jardine for the
dudes out there. I asked around and I will, God willing, get one.
Or even two. So Zee get at me and
we can talk. I hope anybody who reads this can hookme up with an
invite to this Dockside club opening on wednesday night at Ratanga.
With all these weird things happening around us now, I
must say I'm kinda scared of this Y2K shit. Just think if the world
blows up. Who would I be with? Natalie, Zuraida, Tracey-Joy, Rosalina,
Helen, Nicole, Megan, Maria, Tasha, Fatima or Chantell. Who knows? I
know there is a couple of brothers out
there who eagerly await every weeks edition of
GETO FABULOUS CHICK OF THE WEEK. Sorry about last week guys, I did not
run into any fab women last week. What I will do is this, when the
site is up and running I will have a picture of the chick in question
up in there, every week. My nigs Baby & Suga Slim from Cash Money records
is gettin' ready to put out the next little
wodie to pop out of New Orleans' 3rd ward.
Lil Wayne's THE BLOCK IS HOT cd will be HOT! But I'm wonderin'
what Master P has up his sleeve this time. Shit my stomach is
full again from eating DJ Mzura's cooking. I wonder if Christos,
Da Vinci & Fresh can cook up some gourmet shit? Ja so Master P and
he's No Limit empire looks like it's going under. I had a similar
feeling about Bad Boy records. But then why is Def Jam still in the
game? And Russel Simmons is still clocking big bank. Shit I got the
a similar feeling about 999 music/Arthurtainment. Guys what up huh?
I think now is a good time sell all my No Limit cd's. HA HA HA!
Next Tuesday the Urbantainment team will be out at the Universal
presentation in Cape Town. We will be gesuip and will be ge-ert.
And I will keep you posted on how it went. Till next Friday morning.
PEACE!

*TIT-BITZ
--------------------------------------
Shocking news that has come to our
attention is that Master P's hot shot production squad Beats by the
Pound has left him. At the time of going to press we do not know who
of Beats by the Pound has left. I know there is some new beatmakers
at No Limit but I did'nt know that this has happened. DJ Darryl one
of the former members of BBTP, explained that Master P while
taking care of some of his artists was not hitting DJ Darryl with
proper compensation. Darryl mentioned that Master
P's production team Beats By The Pound had also broke camp and
changed their name to the Medicine Men. In fact under the new name
they produced the new Kane & Abel album which ain't bad.. . It's
still unclear as to whether or not their departure from No Limit is
permanent. We'll keep you posted....The new Original Evergreen
album has been pulled of the shelves due to a song on there called
GROUPIE BITCH, shit and I liked the track. I'm sure they was about to
blow up!...Due to the fact that the Mobshop
Publications team has expanded to four, they have now changed
names. Now Mobshop Publications will be known as IMR, please let mama
know...So they bombed the Blah bar
in Green Point, Cape Town last week. Hope "they" have stopped there
shit by the time we want to go and party...How come has 999 music
not put out any music for December yet?...Remember last week I talked
about Tamar, the chick who had a tight ass ad in the Source magazine?
Well Tamar is actually a Braxton. Yes she is Toni Braxton's sister...
Chantell one of the chicks I dig was involved in fight with one of
the other chicks I dig, Nazli. Ja just cos Chantell's brother greeted
Nazli. Nazli then told Chantell's bro, "yeah who da fuck are you to
come and greet me, you don't even know me?" Upon hearing this
Chantell, with her cute-ass stormed off to confront Nazli and told
her," jou tief jy dink jy kak ice cream" etc etc. SHIT! Chantell
handled her bussiness in a geto fab way - straight geto...The much
anticipated Mizchif album will be available real soon. Obviously in
Gauteng it will be available everywhere, but I will let those in the
mother city of Cape Town know where to get a copy of this project...
Some of y'all might know that Puff Daddy is the publisher of the
magazine Notorious. Ok so in the Sept/Oct issue he put his boo Jennifer
Lopez on the cover. On top of that he did doing the interview. The cover
is very revealing and I tell ya, if Puffy is hitting that then he is
one lucky mofo. Overall I think it's a wack magazine...Ja so after all
the fanfare (what fanfare?) FHM was finally released on to the SA
market on Monday. The cover is cool but hell, how come there was no
black chick on the cover? Now I can really give Directions props for
putting Bonnie Mbuli on the cover last year! Y'all at FHM betta watch
your back cos I'mma bust some caps on yo azz...When white kids smoke
weed they refer to it as smoking pot. But when a gam bra like me smoke
it we say smoking some shit!... In 2Pac news. His new album
AND STILL I RISE is set to
drop...and his new book 'The Rose That Grew From Concrete' is already
making waves. For those who aren't up on it.. This new book by 2pac
is actually a collection of poems that he wrote before he blew up in
the rap game. He was part of a writer's circle with his former manager
Leila Steinberg and former rapping partner Ray Luv. These poems
caught everyone's attention and caused quit a stir when they were read
on the air the day Pac was killed. Some of the poems were released and
folks went out and sold t-shirts, posters and other items with the
poems inscriptions. After 3 years of legal hassling and back room
drama, the poems were released in what is a terrific book. Many of the
poems are in 2pac's hand writing and for the most part absolutely
incredible...

N.W.A.
- EFIL4ZAGGIN
This for me was what a rap album should sound like. An album with a
concept. Plus groundbreaking lyrics & beats. The line-up here was
Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Mc Ren & DJ Yella. The worlds most dangerous group
had it all. They felt that they did not need Ice-Cube to help them
with sales. Shit this classic LP hit numero uno on the Billboard
pop charts, how u luv that? Before ghostwriting was made popular by
Puffy, Eazy & Dre was one of a few who enlisted people to write
for them. The video for APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION had a mind blowing
concept that would even by todays standards be on top. Profanity was
high on the list of NWA. This was also the album that Dr. Dre perfected
the "skit". Skit's like HOW TO KILL A BITCH took you into the minds of
four young brothers out of Compton. Shit, they done put Compton on the
map! ALWAYS INTO SOMETHING was the cut that brought live gangsta ass
bass lines to the forefront. MC Ren will always be known for his sex
rhymes or sex jams as we call it. SHE SWALLOWED IT was the sex rhyme
of all sex rhymes. It took you to the drive-in into another persons
car and introduced you to the preachers 14 year old daughter. Ren
told you what to do when your partner was not down with fellatio and
how to deal with it. You parents would not teach you this but Mc Ren
was willing to do it. And we listened. REAL NIGGAZ DON'T DIE was
NWA'S answer to the pro-black phenomenon that was riding the crest
of the wave in rap at the time. Former super-producer, Dr.Dre laid
down some of the funkiest beats of all time. Dre was a legend back
then. No one could fuck with them. Shit, he was the doctor! This
album was one of the albums that formed the foundation of west coast
rap.

eishhh joe !!!
Mike Rice died in a fire and his body was so badly burned that the
morgue needed someone to I.D. the body. So they called up his two
friends Julie Wyrick and Jayme Smith to come and try to I.D. the body.
Julie Wyrick went in and the mortician pulled back the sheet and Julie
Wyrick said "Yaa, he's burnt pretty bad. Roll him over."
So the mortician rolled him over and Julie Wyrick looked at his ass
and said "No dat ain't Mike Rice."
The mortician didn't say any thing but thought that was kind of
strange.
Then he brought in Jayme Smith to I.D. the body and Jayme Smith looked
at him and said "Yaa he's burnt real bad, roll him over."
The mortician rolled him over and Jayme Smith looked down at his ass
and said "No dat ain't Mike Rice."
The mortician said "How can you tell?" Jayme Smith said "Well Mike
Rice had two assholes."
"What? he had two assholes?" said the mortician. "Yaa, everyone in
town
knew he had two assholes. Every time the three of us went to town
everyone would say "Here comes Mike Rice with them two assholes!"
