Xist Music and Jahaziel have released the lead music video and single from Jahaziel’s forthcoming album due out November 19th. “They Don’t Know” features a guest appearance from Maxi Priest.
Jahaziel and his family do community outreach with The Eden Network in North London. “This song is a social commentary describing the darker side of the community I live in. A side that many within it want to escape, and one that many outside of it would rather ignore.”

“STRICTLY” is the lead single from “The Brilliant EP” by Nigerian rap artist, BREIS (breeze). “Strictly” was produced by BREIS and Leroy Brown and is an Afrobeat flavoured single featuring the sweet Zimbabwean vocals of Eska Mtungwazi. Eska’s lush melodies and BREIS’ raw delivery sound brilliant together on this Hip Hop – Afro beat fusion. The Brilliant EP will be available digitally on March 25.

British-Ghanaian rapper Sway has made his latest mixtape, ‘Bring me to Africa’ available for downloading online. The new mixtape was made exclusively for the African communities throughout the world, in collaboration with Me FiRi GHANA, a social enterprise working from the UK and abroad that brings together the youth in the community and encourages investment back home.

October 8th marks a coming of age for African Hip Hop. Afrolution Records, the London based African Hip Hop label is bringing together some of the biggest names in African Hip Hop in a festival that will showcase some of the cream in this genre. Afrolution are well know for their ground breaking compilation release “Afrolution Vol 1 – The Original African Hip Hop Collection” which was the first compilation of its kind in the world to represent both francophone and anglophone African countries.
