“STRICTLY” is the lead single from “The Brilliant EP” by Nigerian rap artist, BREIS (breeze). “Strictly” was produced by BREIS and Leroy Brown and is an Afrobeat flavoured single featuring the sweet Zimbabwean vocals of Eska Mtungwazi. Eska’s lush melodies and BREIS’ raw delivery sound brilliant together on this Hip Hop – Afro beat fusion. The Brilliant EP will be available digitally on March 25.

Terry Tha Rapman (born Joe Spasm) is nothing but a veteran as far as Nigerian Hip-hop is concerned, having started out in 2000 with the Swat Roots Collective ( Six Foot Plus , Mista Baron , elDee XL , Mode9 and Jiddah ). From his base in Abuja, he released his debut album Tha Rapmanifestation on Payback Tyme Records . The album received little or no press, airplay or recognition, which led to low sales and virtually unknown status. Payback Tyme records broke up, leaving each crew member to himself.

The station is the first and only university radio station in Nigeria at the moment, owned by University of Lagos. The Green October Project Volume I is the brainchild of Harrison “Harry Baba “ Nwozo Jr., President and CEO of the Maryland based promotions and marketing company Tribe X Entertainment, LLC. The mission of The Green October Project is to showcase the arts and talents of local Nigerian Hip Hop artists in the USA. The Volume I compilation focuses on several Nigerian Hip Hop artists living in or around the Washington DC Metropolitan area. U.K Female Hip-hop star and one time Mobo award winner for best hip-hop act, Dj and Presenter for Choice FM 96.9/101.1 London will be joining De Indispensables on a 5 state tour in Nigeria. The two acts who also have a song together on De Indispensables debut Press On LP titled ‘’AM SORRY REMIX’’ will be shooting a video for the track which is one of the killer cuts on the album.

Roots Reggae and Dancehall gives the first insight into the new exciting Reggae Dancehall movement happening all over Africa right now. So far only two Reggae artists from Africa have had real international success: Lucky Dube and Alpha Blondy. A new generation has long arrived, but while many of these artists are superstars at home and regularly at the top of their local charts, this compilation is the first chance for most of them to present their music to an international audience. Nigeria’s 2-FACE Idibia, South Africa’s Zamajobe, DRC’s Kaysha, Kenya’s Kleptomaniax and Angola’s 02 are to add to their catalogue of triumphs by representing their countries at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2005 in Lisbon on 3 November 2005. The five acts are the first ever African artists to be nominated for the title of ‘Best African Act’ – the very first time MTV anywhere in the world has created an African ‘gong’ for one of its Awards ceremonies.
