2.Desert Friction/African B.A.S.E. Fresh Air Crew

Desert Friction follows Jeremy Samson as he tackles an almost featureless climbing route up Southwest face of Spitzkop – a 500-meter granite slab rising out of the Namibian Desert. African B.A.S.E. accompanies four base-jumpers on a South African road trip ending in a gravity-defying wing-suit flight.

3.Some Friends /Hydrolic FishEye Productions/Yeti Productions

4.A Perfect Day/Orange Unplugged Red Bull / Fresh Air Crew

When water turns nasty. A Perfect Day is the in house production from this years Red Bull Big Wave Africa, the annual trek by the worlds best big wave surfers to Dungeons in Hout Bay. In Orange Unplugged, four international white water kayakers organise a flood in order to test their skills in the massive rapids of the Augrabies gorge.

5.’D’ is for Dude/Controlled Chaos Blunt Magazine /Dope Industries, Skatelands

“D is for Dude” is the third edition of the annual blunt magazine video series. This edition includes footage from Tony Hawk’s tour of South Africa in 2002, local action including street, concrete bowl and vert skateboarding, plus the Durban Skate Contest. There’s also street, vert and dirt BMXing; downhill skateboarding; flowboarding; wakeboarding; and big wave and progressive aerial surfing.

Controlled Chaos is a short video about the skate scene in Cape Town. It features all local skaters in the footage that has been collected over two years. Local music is also featured as Sibot, one of South Africa’s finest hip-hop dj’s, showcases his own homegrown beats.

6.Probabtion / Unleash The Fury Wizzard Productions/ Tyrone Bradley and Jimmy Reynolds

Inspired by Wess Miller of H-Bomb films, Probation is blood, sweat and tears. Shot around Jo’burg and Cape Town, it is geared towards giving South African quad bike riders their own films and to provide beginner riders some local heros of their own – someone on your own doorstep who is out there busting big and putting his body on the line.

Unleash The Fury is the first documentation of the BMX riding scene in South Africa. It represents the lifestyle and attitudes of the riders and their Friends and portrays BMX as a lifestyle rather than a sport or hobby.

7..Pits and Pieces Jumping Louse Productions

Pits & Pieces is a collection of vivid scenes from epic surf and base-jumping sessions in 2002, featuring Dungeons , profiles on local hotties, plus a peak at the top (female) longboarder in the world. There’s a mandatory wipeout section to whet the sadistic palette, some contest highlights from Jeffrey’s Bay, Chris Brehem’s surf art, and the usually successful attempts by Tim Hutchings to get his parachute to open.
