AG is by far the largest hip hop portal based on African soil generating huge interest around the world. Right now we are enjoying traffic from around 100 countries and are growing at a rate of 5 to 10% every month. Due to this growth we decided it was time to sit down and do some serious work. Read on to see our plans for expansion.

A total redesign is taking place in the backrooms of the AG headquarters which will push AG into the future. 

With our new technology and new partnerships we will be able to update the site on a minute by minute basis giving you the latest hip hop news (from around the world) – using very little manpower. However African artists and select international artists/stories will dominate the front page. Our content will be re-categorized by both Country and Topic making it easier to find what you are looking for.

The design of the site will also change.  We have taken your suggestions regarding our lack of colour co-ordination very seriously 🙂

There are other surprises on the horizon – but time will reveal.

What does this all mean? It means we are gunning for the top 10 international spot. We want to be one of the top 10 hip hop portals in the world. In the same breathe we want to bring African hip hop into that – to bring awareness and to strengthen the hip hop scene on the continent.

We’d also like to get to a stage where we can have a proper office and formally employ staff.  

Can we do it? We will. How long will it take.  We don’t care.  Just like before, we won’t sleep. We will continue to push ourselves into the ground so that you can be elevated.

The best is yet to come.
