With massive interest and demand for hip-hop in South Africa this brand new label aims at developing, exposing and promoting the genre locally. Although international labels as well as artists will be profiled, the major focus of the label is on the development of local talent. This does abound in our nation, but has never received the support and nurturing it deserves and needs to create our own local Hip-Hop superstars that can take the entire world on!

Hip-Hop is taking on a different spin in South Africa, introducing African elements and flavours, and Sheer Music is embarking on this journey in a creative and cutting edge manner, aiming to assist in creating and exposing the best of this exciting and exponentially growing genre to the world. 

As a first step in this exciting project SHEER HIP-HOP has recently signed a duo, dubbed ZULU MOBB by Jo’burg’s Hip-Hop heads. Their clever incorporation of English, Zulu and Sotho lyrics makes them appeal across cultures. These M’rappers have been underground for some time and have established a firm fan base. With the support of SHEER HIP-HOP (and produced by hip-hop guru and founder of UTHOHT ENTERPRISES, SPEX) they are sure to hit the music mainstream in this nation and get the recognition they truly deserve from a wider audience. 

Further projects in the pipeline include a project from Zambian master rapper CRISIS (who you should have heard of by now!); HIDDEN FORCE (produced by DJ DOLLA, a talented 5 piece outfit); as well as many more to follow…

C’mon, support the local Hip-Hop scene! The beats from this label are pure quality, but will only kick it if they get the support they deserve! Let’s work together to build this nations (and Africa’s) talented youth by working together in growing and building the industry.
